Release Notes - April 2026

Release notes - XPay - April 2026

We are excited to share this month’s product updates, focused on expanding payment method support, improving merchant configuration capabilities, and enhancing SDK checkout flexibility across platforms. These improvements are aimed at delivering a more seamless payment experience for both merchants and customers.

  1. PayFast Outlet Management Support

We’re thrilled to introduce support for PayFast Outlet Management, giving merchants greater flexibility in how they manage and settle payments across their business operations.

With this enhancement, merchants can now use a single set of PayFast credentials while routing settlements to multiple accounts based on outlet or branch configurations. This is particularly valuable for growing brands and multi-branch businesses that operate with separate financial structures across locations.

By streamlining outlet-level payment management, this feature simplifies operations, improves settlement flexibility, and enables businesses to scale more efficiently without added integration complexity.

  1. Added DQR Support on XPay wallet payments app

We have added support for Dynamic QR (DQR) payments on the XPay wallet payments App flow.

Previously, our on-site wallet payment flow supported only JC and EP payment methods. With this enhancement, merchants can now also offer DQR-based payments through the alternate app experience, expanding the range of supported payment options available to customers.

This update broadens payment coverage within the on-site wallet payment app experience, providing merchants with greater flexibility while offering customers more convenient and seamless payment options at checkout.

  1. Render All Payment Tabs on Flutter & React Native SDKs

We have enhanced both the Flutter and React Native SDKs to support rendering all available payment tabs dynamically within the checkout experience.

Previously, payment method visibility could vary depending on implementation or platform behavior. With this update, all payment methods and corresponding tabs enabled on the XPay Portal are now consistently displayed across both SDKs, ensuring a more unified and reliable checkout experience for mobile applications.

This enhancement gives merchants greater flexibility and control over their checkout configuration without requiring additional SDK-level changes, while also reducing platform inconsistencies and simplifying integration management across mobile platforms.

  1. BIN-Based Discount Support on XPay

We have introduced support for BIN-based discounts at the XPay level, enabling merchants to offer dynamic card-based promotions directly during payment processing.

With this enhancement, discounts can now be automatically applied on payment intents based on the customer’s card BIN (first 6 or 8 digits).

The implementation supports both percentage-based and fixed-amount discounts, along with configurable validation and eligibility checks to ensure discounts are applied accurately and securely. The system also handles discount recalculations dynamically, ensuring payment amounts remain consistent and valid throughout the payment flow.

This enhancement enables merchants to run card-specific campaigns more effectively while ensuring accurate payment amount handling, improved promotional flexibility, and a seamless checkout experience for customers.

We remain committed to continuously improving our payment ecosystem through enhanced integrations, expanded payment options, and better developer experiences. More updates and enhancements are coming soon as we continue building a more flexible and scalable payments platform.
