Release Notes - June 2023

We are thrilled to present the latest updates and enhancements to the XPay payment app. In this month's release, we've focused on bringing you an even smoother and more convenient payment experience. We've listened to your feedback and have made significant improvements to ensure that XPay continues to be your go-to app for secure and hassle-free transactions. Let's dive into the details and discover what's new in XPay for June 2023!

  1. Federated Payments

We are excited to announce a groundbreaking feature in XPay: Federated Payments.

With this latest update, we have revolutionized the way courier services handle transactions on behalf of their clients or merchants. Now, courier service providers can effortlessly generate payment links directly within XPay, streamlining the payment process and providing a seamless experience for all parties involved.

Federated payment links is an innovative solution that provides an alternative payment method for cash on delivery (COD) orders. With this feature, merchants can establish a seamless connection with their trusted courier services within XPay. By linking their accounts, merchants can authorize couriers to generate payment links on their behalf, simplifying the payment collection process for both parties.

When a courier service needs to collect payment for a delivery, they can simply access the linked account within XPay. With a few clicks, they can generate a secure payment link for the client. This eliminates the need for manual invoicing or exchanging cash, saving time and reducing the potential for errors. Clients receiving the payment links can conveniently make payments using their preferred payment methods whether it's credit/debit cards or bank transfers.

When a courier creates a payment link for a delivery, XPay automatically sends an email notification to the linked merchant's registered email address, ensuring that the merchant remains informed and up-to-date.

The email notification serves as a convenient way for merchants to track and manage their transactions. It allows them to review the generated payment links, verify the accuracy of the information, and promptly reconcile their records.

Our goal with Federated Payments is to empower couriers to take control of their payment processes and enhance the overall customer experience. By integrating this feature into XPay, we aim to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and foster stronger relationships between courier services, merchants and the end customer.

2. Refund Reason dropdown

Another enhancement we made is in the refund process in XPay. Starting this month, merchants now have the ability to select a reason when issuing refunds to their clients. This new feature aims to provide greater transparency and assist merchants in reconciliation efforts.

When processing a refund within XPay, merchants will be prompted to choose a reason from a predefined list of options. These reasons may include "Fraudulent Transaction," "Customer Request," or any other relevant categories specific to the merchant's business.

By selecting a refund reason, merchants can more accurately track and categorize the nature of the refund, making it easier to reconcile their financial records. This feature helps streamline accounting processes and provides merchants with valuable insights into the reasons behind their refund transactions. Furthermore, the ability to assign specific refund reasons can also assist in identifying patterns or issues that may require attention. Merchants can leverage this information to make informed business decisions, optimize customer experiences, and improve overall operations.

We understand that accurate and efficient reconciliation is crucial for merchants, and this enhancement is designed to simplify that process within XPay. We are committed to continually refining our features based on user feedback and industry best practices, ensuring that XPay remains your trusted payment solution.

3. Expanded BIN Discount Capability: Increased BIN Digit Limit

We are delighted to announce a notable enhancement to the BIN (Bank Identification Number) discount feature in XPay. In response to user feedback and to cater to evolving business needs, we have expanded the BIN digit limit from 6 to 8, allowing for even more precise discount configurations.

Previously, XPay supported BIN discounts based on the first 6 digits of a card. However, we understand that certain businesses require more specific targeting and customization options when it comes to offering discounts. With the increased BIN digit limit, merchants now have the flexibility to fine-tune their discount strategies by considering up to 8 digits of the card's BIN. This enhancement enables merchants to create more targeted and granular discount rules based on specific card issuer or card type.

By taking advantage of this expanded capability, you can optimize your marketing efforts, reward loyal customers, and attract new ones with targeted and relevant discount offerings.

At XPay, we are dedicated to continuously improving our features to meet the evolving needs of our users. We value your feedback and strive to provide you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's competitive market.
