We’re thrilled to announce the latest update to our product, which introduces two key features designed to enhance transaction reliability and optimize payment processing: Payment Routing and Gateway Failure Retries.
Payment Routing
Our new payment routing feature optimizes transaction processing by intelligently directing payments to the most suitable gateways based on factors such as transaction amount, currency, locations, and custom attributes. This targeted approach ensures that transactions are processed through the most appropriate gateway, optimizing speed and success rates.
How It Works:
Merchants can set rules in the admin dashboard to select which gateway to use for customers based on different parameters. For instance, payments made from Asia can automatically route through a regional gateway optimized for local transactions.
Routing rules can be configured against:
Currency
Amount
Location
BINs
Custom Attributes
It minimizes conversion fees by directing payments to gateways that support local currencies and enhances transaction speed and success rates through localized routing.
Additionally, routing based on transaction size allows for cost-effective processing and improved fraud protection. This approach reduces cart abandonment, ensures reliable transactions by quickly addressing gateway issues, and offers valuable analytics for informed decision-making.
Gateway Failure Retries
To improve the reliability of transaction processing, XPay now features a retry mechanism on different gateways in the event of a payment failure. This feature minimizes disruptions for users and enhances the overall payment experience.
If a payment attempt fails due to gateway issues, the system will retry the next attempt on the fallback instance set on the XPay admin panel.
Merchants can easily select their preferred configuration—loop or retain—from the admin portal, allowing for seamless management of retry strategies.
These retries will provide a seamless experience, increasing customer confidence in the payment system and users will experience fewer issues during the payment process, resulting in higher conversion rates. Merchants now have the flexibility to choose the retry strategy that best fits their transaction patterns and customer behavior.
