Release Notes - October 2024

Welcome to the XStak’s October 2024 Release Notes for OMS! We're excited to share with you the latest updates and enhancements to our product and services. This comprehensive overview will provide you with valuable insights into the new features and improvements we've implemented over the past month.

1. Order Auto Verification Setting

A new setting has been added to give merchants greater control over order verification. By enabling this setting, merchants can now choose to disable auto-verification based on methods of payment (MOP), such as credit card (CC) or cash on delivery (COD).

• Manual Verification Option: Orders will now default to the Pending Orders tab, where merchants can manually verify each order, ensuring added accuracy for CC and COD orders.

  

2. BaadMay x OE Integration

• We are excited to announce integration with BaadMay, a Shariah-compliant "Buy Now, Pay Later" service that enables customers to make purchases at leading Pakistani brands and pay in three easy installments.

• BaadMay as a Payment Option: Customers can now select BaadMay as a payment method at checkout. This integration allows merchants to offer more flexible payment options and broaden their customer base.

3. OMS Order Tracking Status on Shopify

• Real-Time Status Updates: Merchants using Shopify can now view the real-time status of their orders directly from the OE Order Management System. The current status of each order will be displayed in the Shopify Additional Details field, providing quick and convenient status visibility for merchants and customers.

  

  

4. Product Information Management (PIM)

We are excited to introduce Product Information Management (PIM) to the Omni-Channel Engine (OE), empowering merchants with a centralized system to manage product data, streamline product launches, and tailor offerings across sales channels. This feature supports complex product structures, flexible pricing, and subscription options for dynamic merchandising.

Key Features of PIM:

1. Product Creation and Import:

• Flexible Product Setup: Merchants can create individual products directly within OE or import large product catalogs in bulk, simplifying the onboarding of new product lines and streamlining updates.

• Enhanced Data Accuracy: Built-in validation ensures that product details such as SKU, description, images, and inventory data are accurately captured, reducing the risk of errors and maintaining consistency across channels.

  

  

2. Advanced Collections and Bundling:

• Collections: Merchants can group related products into collections for easier management and improved discoverability, allowing customers to browse and shop by curated groups or themes.

• Bundling Capabilities: Create product bundles to enhance cross-selling opportunities, allowing the grouping of complementary items (e.g., a gift set or multi-item discount package) for a seamless shopping experience.

3. Variants and Custom Attributes:

• Product Variants: OE’s PIM enables the creation of product variants based on attributes such as color, size, material, and style. This helps manage multiple SKUs under a single product, improving inventory organization and easing navigation for customers.

• Custom Attribute Sets and Attributes: Merchants can define custom attribute sets and custom attributes that fit their unique product requirements, allowing for a more tailored product listing experience across different sales channels.

  

4. Plan and Subscription Management:

• Customized Plans: Merchants can design plans with specific pricing structures, such as different tiers, durations, or discounts, catering to a diverse customer base and creating targeted offers.

• Subscription Options: Enable or disable subscription capabilities per product, allowing customers to opt into recurring purchase options such as monthly deliveries or product refills. This feature is ideal for consumables or products that benefit from regular replenishment.

• Flexible Pricing Models: Tailor pricing for individual plans and subscriptions, supporting diverse strategies for promotions, seasonal pricing, or subscriber discounts.
